Bacstory
Genevieve Lee was born in Busan, South Korea. Moving to the United States at 8 years old. Her mother was an upcoming fashion designer finally bringing her childhood ideas to life, while her father held down a more traditional job as a bank teller. Growing up in New York she experienced a mix of cultures, broadening her view of the world and shaping who she is today.Within a few years she adapted to the new routine, becoming quite popular in school despite the early language barrier. One person stood out amongst the rest and stuck by her the entire time, her name was Nora. The two were inseparable from the moment they met in 6th grade, and her teenage years it was like she’d grown up there her entire life.Genevieve had been on the debate team, sang in the choir, joined more clubs than she could fit on college applications and each step was in tune with Nora. The two had planned an entire life together from attending USC, to moving across the country into their dream penthouse apartment and going through life always together. She’d make frequent trips back to South Korea to visit family, taking summer trips to her grandparents home in Daegu. In the late summer months of 2020 she returned home ready to tell Nora that she had been scouted by a talent agent but instead was met with Nora’s parents sitting with her own. Genevieve doesn’t remember much about that day. They told her that Nora had passed away in a car accident, she was driving home from a party. A party Genevieve had convinced her to go to.She carried that guilt for years, abandoning her acceptance letter to USC and moving back to South Korea to pursue modeling and acting despite her parent’s wishes. Her duality was her speciality unknown to the world that is was her shield. The ability to switch from cheerful and bubbly to a professional who had done this for years was praised, and within a year she’d won an award for best up and coming actress. Now Genevieve’s name is sought after on cast lists and magazine covers. She is known for being bubbly and quite friendly, but her love life is described as “flimsy” and “chaotic”.
